Election Day

No one wants to know about my ever-evolving political theories, but the significance of today’s elections cannot go unnoted.  Balance is a crucial element of the US government, although at several times in our country’s history it has seemed absent.

We each have a role to create balance– in our selves, in our families, in our communities, and in our country.  Balance can be achieved only when people give voice to their concerns and then work selflessly towards a common good.  Our paths may be very different, but if compromise and unity are our goal, we can each be fulfilled in a balanced way.

Vote.  It is not a right but a privilege.  Take your children, and teach them that being an active participant in the world around them is a way to create balance in life.  Even if your candidate doesn’t win, knowing that you have had your say is more than most people in the world could ever dream of.

Good health and great happiness to you.
